Congrats. How wonderful of yo...That's awesome! Congrats. How wonderful of your fam to come out and support you. A few things:

1. I'm glad you got new shoes. That'll help your shins a lot.

2. Don't worry, we all steal race photos from the website.

3. Unless you started at the very front, your time was likely better than 29:59. Do you know if this was a time chipped race? Did you wear something on your shoe or have a metal strip on the back of your bib? Chip times keep track of when exactly you cross the start and finish line and let you look up your real finish time later.

If it wasn't chipped, you can wear your own watch and start it when you cross the line. Of if they have a clock at the start, you have to do a little math by subtracting the time it took to actually cross the start. The finishing clock was probably just a few seconds off, but every little bit adds to your awesomeness.

Good luck with that 10k. You're going to do great!X-Country2https://www.blogger.com/profile/01543524827265377886noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-750137054841847.post-12346479475468264172011-11-22T10:00:03.201-08:002011-11-22T10:00:03.201-08:00So stinkin proud of you. And reading your post is extra motivation too- I have been totally slacking on running for the last few weeks (loooooong story), but I'm going to start back up. Signing up for our local Valentine 10K (eek- haven't run that far since May!), though I'm no where near your pace (I have NEVER broken 30 minutes for a 5K distance and my fastest time at an 'official' run was 32:15. I "believe you can fly" too!Emilyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12765494147933672491noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-750137054841847.post-30568844504165512412011-11-22T08:27:18.741-08:002011-11-22T08:27:18.741-08:00Your worst photo ever is THE BEST PHOTO EVER.Your worst photo ever is THE BEST PHOTO EVER.weezermonkeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08023289768556784443noreply@blogger.com
