leveling up

BREAKING NEWS...

we interrupt these disney world recaps to report a HUGE new development from this weekend.  i'll let these photos speak for themselves:

oh, yes.  YES, PEOPLE.  the kid who turned into the teen who morphed into the old lady is now...the fiancée!  i mean, i'm not going to start calling her that because old lady is still super appropriate, but it does seem that her special friend should level up to "the fiancé."  hopefully that will appease those of you who still seemed to be angry over his previous nickname (even though he himself couldn't have cared less).  and OMG, i get to be the mother of the bride!  AAAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!

so yes - these two crazy kids who started dating like 7 years ago and weathered two breakups before moving in together and bringing sweet stevie dog into our lives are jumping into the next phase of their lives, and we could not be happier or more excited for them.  he's been a part of our family for quite awhile, and now it's official.  i really have a son now!  he's such a good guy, and at the risk of sounding cliché, they truly are made for each other. he fits into the family perfectly, and we love him.

and i wouldn't be me if i didn't dig out a bunch of fun pictures to share, would i?  let's take a walk down memory lane, shall we?

and now they get to have a wedding!  and before you ask, no, i'm really going to be the most chill mother of the bride ever.  like, i'll provide input when i'm asked, but i'm not going to turn into MOBzilla.  I'M NOT.  it's their wedding and i've already put that out into the universe and now it's blog official so that means that's exactly how it's gonna go.  i'm just excited to see how it all plays out and what they decide on and i'm happy to go on the ride with them.

ah, love.  ain't it grand?
