operation wean the bean continues

after my super duper debbie downer posts of last week, it's time to turn it around. i am totally stoked to share that the bean hit another milestone!

when my eyes popped open this morning around 6:30, it didn't take more than a few seconds to realize that i'd slept all night long. without hearing a peep from the bean. !!!

i sat up slowly, peeked over the hub's still-sleeping form, and was amazed to see that she was also still asleep - in her own bed - and in the same position she was in when we came to bed last night. this is amazing, folks. she's never, not once, in her entire almost-two-years-of-life, slept through the night! until now. we were so proud.
what a great way to start our morning. yay!

  1. Congratulations on Wean The Bean! I think she's officially weaned. Funny thing I weaned babyM while on vacation and as soon as we were done, she too was sleeping thru the night. AWESOME SAUCE. I also miss the closeness. A month or two later, she caught me in the middle of putting on my bra after a shower and caught site of the "bobos". I bent down to her level to see what she'd do and she just stared as if it were the first she had ever caught site of them. She hesitantly poked and prodded and thot to pinch my nipples. Funny thing kids are!

  5. AWESOME!

Maybe there was something in the baby air last night because Em slept the entire night -- 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. -- for the first time in months, since she started hardcore teething. Love, love, love...

  6. Wow, how much does she look like you in that photo?!

Yay for sleeping through the night. My daughter started STTN around 3 yrs old, so I was tired for a very long time... and I can understand your excitement. Good job!
