just in time for mother's day (like always)

it's when your children become adults that the whole "i'm your parent, not your friend" thing can stop, right?  i hope so, because the old lady truly is one of my most favorite people in the world to hang out with.  she's my BFF, my partner in crime, who loves to share in all the shenanigans i love to get myself into.

she's 23 today, still going strong with her special friend, looking for a place to move into, trying to spread her wings a little and continue her journey to find out exactly what her place is in this crazy world.  i joked on facebook about how she was so stubborn that i had to get induced because she was refusing to get out on her own...fast forward to today, when she's scouring rental homes because she's dying to get out on her own.  i'm excited for her, to see what it's like to have a place that's all hers, live independently from parents, struggle a little, get a taste of what the future has in store for her.  at the same time...i miss her already.

so here's a shitload of pictures that we've taken together over the years, because it's always fun to look back and do a little reminiscing on special days like this.  some super old ones:

disneyland, of course.

some of the super fun trips we've been on.

and just a whole lot of randomness.

happy birthday, my firstborn.  let's go make some more memories together.  love you.
