i present to you the bean's official transitional kindergarten school portrait:
why she insists on that silly fake smile, i'll never know. but you watch - she'll get to the point where she practices her on-camera smile in the mirror till it's perfect.

the hub and i had talked about our 20th wedding anniversary off and on over the last year, but by the time it actually came around we still ...
My son used to do that smile too until one time when he got the pictures back and was upset at the odd smile- he said "But I did a real smile, how come they made it look like that?" So I had him "smile for the camera" and then held a mirror up for him- he was shocked! He really had no idea that he wasn't doing a genuine smile. He's much better at smiling for pics now!
