running her ragged, in a fun way

the bean and i are setting into a super duper fun routine of heading out to disneyland every other week.  because of the frequency of these visits, i'm thinking you're gonna get pretty stinking bored with constant posts about our trips to the happiest place on earth.

so this'll be the last one.  well, unless something spectacular happens.  ha!

because we have these fancy-schmancy annual passes now, it's really lovely to just go and walk around at our leisure.  during previous trips, there were always shows or rides that we would bypass in our haste to get to our favorite attractions.  but now, we can stop and smell the roses, so to speak.  and because a tuesday morning isn't exactly the busiest time at the parks, we aren't surrounded by crazed crowds pushing their way through.  there's quite a few strollers, with lots of moms just like me who are there for just a few hours with their little ones.

but this time, we decided to try something out - we left the stroller in the car and the bean walked her happy little butt all around california adventure.  i thought it would be a good way to get her some exercise, plus get her nice and tired for a heavy-duty nap that afternoon.  i found not having to park the thing before doing everything pretty darn liberating, and the bean was happy to sashay all around without restrictions.

she even got to take a picture with her favorite cars:

and we rode a fun new ride that she loved (the jumping jellyfish, which gave us lovely views of the ferris wheel and midway area before leaving our stomachs at the top as it dropped back down).

after grabbing lunch (which reminded me that next time, we're packing our own), we made our way back towards the trams, which took us back to the car.  we barely got out of the massive parking structure before achieving my objective for the afternoon:

and the disney magic continued that night, as she got ready for bed in one of her birthday presents.

i love that she doesn't care that woody is a boy.  yee-haw!

  2. Cute!! D loves Jumping Jellyfish too. :) You are lucky she will walk everywhere. If we make D walk, he'll asked to be carried within 5 minutes...and walking around Disneyland with a 45 pound kid in your arms is not fun at all.
