she puts the GRRR in swinger, baby! yeah.

the bean and i went on a walk yesterday afternoon to the park that's just around the corner from our house. i had a lovely pot roast and veggies cooking happily in the crock pot, which was making the house smell really yummy, and it was such a nice day.

we spent a lot of time at the swings. she had a great time swinging back and forth, and there was a little girl next to us who was pushing the empty bucket (out of boredom, if i had to guess). the bean was cracking up as she watched her push the swing higher and higher, and when the girl's mom got a glimpse of what she was doing, she had to stop immediately.

"hey! stop that, you're going to hit somebody!"
"but mooooom, the baby was laughing at me."
"i don't care. stop it right now."

ha!

we hung out for a while, went down a couple of slides, and then walked back home. and as soon as we set food inside, she dropped off into a nice, peaceful nap.

and at last, dear crissy posted some teasers of our photo shoot from a few weeks ago. love these so much! i can't wait to see the rest. check it out here.

and now i'm embarrassed to admit it, but i'm excited to see the jonas brothers tomorrow with the teen. shut up.

  2. Been reading your blog for a couple months now and thought I'd finally say hello and leave a comment. You're awesome for taking your teen to the Jonas Bros concert and actually being excited about it. I was hoping to take the 9y/o and 3 y/o to Hannah Montana when she was here, but tix were insane, so no go. Which means no cool points for me. Loved your family photos and I'm itching to have our family take pix for our card this year too but the Daddy is difficult in that dept, he hardly likes to be documented. UGH! Have a lovely weekend

  5. Ahh those Jonas Brothers. My kid loves them, my nieces love them (shoot, the 13 yr old inside of me loves them too) I'm planning on taking my neice to the Hollywood show. She hasn't seen any of their shows yet and can't wait to surprise her. Even though it's GA. But I'm sure the show will be loads of fun. Hope you have an awesome time and btw, what lovely pics! I love Crissy.

  7. Hi! I too have been a fan of your blog for a few months now. As a new mom myself (I have a 10 month old), I find your daily posts funny and refreshing. Have a great weekend! And BTW, great family photos. I vote for the one with all of you sitting on the floor.

  8. fab photos! please share which one you are going to pick for the card.

I am still convinced you bought the concert tix for you and not the teen.

  9. You know I love your pics w/Crissy. I'm sure that's not a surprise though. :)

Park pics and story are cute. So is the bean. :)

I'm going to foolishly pretend that you are excited about the show because it'll make the teen ridiculously happy to be there. ;)
