halloween costumes galore

halloween seemed like it was never-ending this year.  i guess it didn't help that we kicked it off with our disneyland costume party more than a month before - hell, it was still september when we went.  heh.  and then the bean got to wear her costume again to her tap class last week, plus to our girl scout halloween party on friday.

the old lady and i had our fair share of halloween too, dressing up for the same girl scout meeting:

and then to my co-leader's annual fundraiser party on saturday night:

i started off halloween wearing a shirt i'd made using fabric i'd bought LAST year.

but then when it was time to head out for trick-or-treating, i decided i wanted to wear something else. my die-cutter and heat press came to the rescue, and in about ten minutes i had my final costume of the year.

because we live on a street full of old people, trick-or-treating in our neighborhood kinda sucks.  and so we left a bowl of candy out on the doorstep, turned the porch light on, and headed out to meet up with some friends instead.  we even managed a family photo:

and the girls had a blast going from door to door collecting all the candy they could hold.  yup, including the old lady.

one more selfie for the night:

and that's a wrap for halloween 2016!
