turns out that our $1.49 aquatic snails were so not the right ones for the project - which was simply to observe them as they eat, and...whatever the hell else snails do. poop? [shrug]
anyway, the kid reported that the classroom was indeed crammed full with about a zillion snails, all brought in by other students looking for easy extra credit. and hers were the ONLY ones that resided within a watery home. heh.
so the teacher told her to come back after the last bell to retrieve her erroneous slugs, and i was glad to hear that she made a point to ask if she was still going to earn those extra points (she did). knowing her, i just wouldn't have been shocked if she'd taken off and forgot all about it.
and we took our $8.06 and got chicken teriyaki bowls for dinner.

The "erroneous slugs" killed me.
ReplyDeletechicken teriyaki sounds much tastier than rubbery snails.
ReplyDeletei was hoping for "the end" tag on this one too ;)
ReplyDeleteThe abrupt endings are killing me here. Love them.
ReplyDeletePhew. I thought the last picture was what you guys decided to do with the snails. Eeeek!
ReplyDeleteI love the "snails" tag.
ReplyDeleteFantastic! I love that all the snails were wrong and so obviously last minute.
